Born in Byblos - Jbeil, Lebanon, Elias Azar moved to Paris at his early age, starting his career as a lebanese chef, received some recognition with the famous Fakhredin et Pavillon Noura, Paris. He also contribute to open several lebanese brasserie and restaurant with the owner of Pavillon Noura. In 1993, he got invited to supervise the creation of the restaurant lebanese Arabesque of the Hotel President Wilson, in which he created the menu, planning the kitchen and also composing the team for the restaurant. The Chef Azar arrived in Geneva in May 1995 where he started the preparation for the grand opening of Arabesque in June 1995 and stayed for 21 years. In February 2018 , the Chef Azar and his associate decided to open Azar & Co at its location.
We are proud to be the first Lebanese restaurant in Geneva to receive the "Fait Maison" label.
All our dishes, from starters, main courses, including our typical Lebanesse desserts are fully elaborated in our kitchen, using the freshest ingredients according the criterias of the label "Fait Maison" made by the Federation of Fédération romande des consommateurs (FRC), GastroSuisse, La semaine du Gôut and SlowFood.
